If you live in or around Sonipat and you are weighing AI classes in Delhi against training closer to home, the honest comparison comes down to three things: the cost of travel, the quality of teaching, and where you eventually want to work. Delhi wins on job market size. It does not automatically win on teaching, and it loses badly on the thing most people underestimate, which is the commute.
I have this conversation almost every week, usually with a parent who thinks Delhi must be better because it is Delhi, and a student who has already worked out what the bus timing will do to their week.

The straight comparison
| AI classes in Delhi | Live training from Sonipat | |
|---|---|---|
| Travel each day | 3 to 4 hours return | 15 to 30 minutes, or none if online |
| Travel cost over 4 months | ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 | Under ₹4,000, or nothing online |
| Typical fee | ₹40,000 to ₹1,20,000 | ₹45,000, or ₹40,000 paid in full |
| Class size | Often 30 to 60 | Small batches, four daily slots |
| Live client account access | Varies a lot, ask directly | Yes, from week one |
| Job market on your doorstep | Large | Smaller locally, NCR within reach |
| Realistic attendance | Drops after week six | High |
The commute is the part that decides it
Everyone underestimates this. Three to four hours a day, five days a week, for four months is roughly 300 hours. That is twelve full days spent in traffic, on top of the class itself.
What actually happens is not that people drop out dramatically. It is that attendance quietly erodes. The first fortnight is fine. By week six, one missed class becomes two, because the bus was late and the class had already started. By month three, students are watching recordings at 11 PM and have stopped asking questions, which is the part that was worth the money.
If you are going to travel to Delhi, go in with a plan for the bad days, not just the good ones. Ask the institute what happens when you miss a session. If the answer is a recording and nothing else, you are paying Delhi prices for a correspondence course.
What Delhi genuinely gives you
I am not going to pretend Delhi has no advantage. It has two real ones.
The first is the job market. There are simply more agencies, more startups and more in-house marketing teams within a twenty kilometre radius of Connaught Place than within a hundred kilometres of Sonipat. At placement time that matters.
The second is informal exposure. Meetups, events, people in your batch who already work at agencies. That network is real and it is worth something, especially if you are social enough to use it.
What Delhi does not automatically give you is better teaching. Delhi has excellent institutes and it also has the densest concentration of certificate mills in North India, places that run a weekend workshop, hand out a PDF and call it an AI course. The address tells you nothing about which one you have walked into. The questions in the how to choose an institute post work regardless of city.
What actually decides whether you get hired
Having placed students for five years, the pattern is boring and consistent. Employers in Gurgaon, Noida and Delhi ask three things:
- What campaigns have you run, and with how much budget?
- What happened, and can you explain why?
- Can you do this without supervision from day one?
Nobody has asked me what city a student trained in. Not once. They look at the portfolio and they probe whether the student actually understands their own numbers, because plenty of candidates arrive with a portfolio someone else built.
That is the real reason I argue for live accounts over location. A student who spent four months managing real budgets in Sonipat interviews better than one who sat through theory in a large Delhi classroom, and both of them are competing for the same NCR jobs.
The AI part, specifically
AI classes are where this gets sharper, because AI is the easiest subject in the world to teach badly. The tools are free or nearly free. Anyone can open ChatGPT in front of a room and look impressive for two hours.
The questions worth asking, in either city:
- Do students use AI on live client work, or on practice exercises?
- Who teaches it, and what are they running right now with it?
- What happens when the model gets something wrong? If the trainer cannot show you examples of AI being confidently incorrect, they have not used it under pressure.
- Is the AI content a module inside a real curriculum, or a bolt-on added because the word sells?
Ours sits inside the digital marketing course in Sonipat, spread across four months of live campaign work, for the reasons set out in the AI course in Sonipat post.
A third option most people miss
You do not actually have to choose between travelling to Delhi and settling for less. The same live batch we teach in Model Town runs online, same trainer, same client accounts, same timings, same fee.
For students in Kundli, Rai, Ganaur, Gohana or Murthal, that usually beats both options. You get the class without the bus, and you keep the hours. Several of our students have never seen the classroom and are working in NCR now.
If you want to compare the two modes properly, the online versus offline post goes through what you genuinely lose by not being in the room, which is not nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Is an AI course in Delhi better than one in Sonipat? Not by default. Delhi has more options at both ends of the quality range. Live account access and who teaches you decide quality; the city decides the size of the local job market.
How much does the travel really cost? Around ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 in fares over four months from Sonipat, plus roughly 300 hours. Factor in the classes you will miss on bad days.
Do Delhi employers care where you studied? In my experience, no. They care about the campaigns you have run and whether you can explain your own results.
Can I get the same quality without moving? Yes, if the teaching is live and on real accounts. That is the whole reason we run the online batch at the same fee.
What do I earn if I end up working in Delhi? Delhi NCR pays noticeably more than local Sonipat roles at the same experience level. The numbers are broken down in our digital marketing salary guide.
If you want to test it before deciding
Sit in on one class here before you commit to four months of commuting. You can book a free demo class, online or at Model Town, and compare it directly against whatever Delhi institute you are considering. Ask both of us the same questions and see who answers them straight.
